The Challenge
Building a network of sites on the hypermarket model represents a significant undertaking for most companies. The typical marketer will find himself facing significant schedule, quality and inspection issues as he attempts to build a large network quickly.
The Key for Success
Frey-Moss can greatly reduce the burden associated with these efforts through our use of modular construction techniques. In the space of two days, Frey-Moss can deliver the building or kiosk and erect a modular canopy. This alone will drastically shorten construction time and increase quality without the need for the owner’s representative to visit the site daily.
Frey-Moss coordination will also greatly simplify the management of these projects during construction and the use of Frey-Moss modular kiosks and small stores on these sites offers significant cost benefits and schedule advantages when compared to traditional construction methods. Our system enables the marketer to reliably complete typical projects in six weeks or less.
The Experience
Frey-Moss specializes in hypermarket fueling, having designed and built the first Wal-Mart gas site with Murphy Oil in 1996.

Since then we have gone on to complete over 300 gas sites for Murphy Oil at Wal-Mart locations. Frey-Moss also serves as the exclusive supplier for the Tesoro Mirastar program, their joint venture with Wal-Mart in the western United States. In February 2001, we delivered our first two K-Mart projects in Memphis, Tennessee and went on to complete another dozen that same year. We are the preferred modular building supplier for Sunoco’s Optima program, their foray into hypermarket fueling, also in conjunction with Wal-Mart, and have completed thirty-one projects as of 2002. Altogether, Frey-Moss has delivered well over 500 hypermarket fueling centers for these customers along with Albertson’s, Costco and Safeway.
